Dear SeaCart Friends,
We have got an invitation from the Abu Dhabi Yachting Grand Prix to participate in their regatta. Abu Dhabi have the strategy to create an annual racing week and as we know they got the financial muscles to make this initiative successful. We also know from the Americas Cup guys, who spent last winter training there, that the conditions are perfect for sailing this time of year. Attention Group Inc. is the race management running the Regatta. We know them more as the successful HIQ Trimaran Team, managed by Whyshore AB.

There will be classes like the VX40 catamaran and RC44 (Russel Coutts new monohull) among other cool boat types. It will be a lot off buzz, press, reporters, cameras around this event. This is the type of event we want to be a part of to spread the class so we in the future can get other super nice venue invitations.   

This is what the race management offer the SeaCart 30 teams (see also attached file: Program...):
1. Free of charge freight to and from the UAE (Europe-UAE) for a maximum of 10 boats. (Rotterdam or/and Gothenburg, TBA)
2. Free mooring space and crane lifts in Abu Dhabi.
3. Race Village facilities (see earlier sent presentation) where the teams can arrange corporate hospitality activities.
4. Abu Dhabi Yachting Grand Prix will have a complete international race organisation in place, no resources required from the boat teams.
5. Abu Dhabi Yachting Grand Prix will have a complete international PR and media organisation to promote the boat teams/classes in general and the race in principal.
6. Abu Dhabi Yachting Grand Prix will have a complete security organisation (land and sea) in place, no resources required from the boat teams.

There is advanced negotiations regarding nice price on hotel room, flights, car hire etc. but nothing settled at this moment.

Now we have a great opportunity to participate and get an Unofficial Championship going. The idea is to do this next year and so on. We need to know how many boats who are interested in this to start or stop quite a few agendas already up and running. I like to see at least six boats to have a super flashy summer clash. The BIG Q is; Are you and your team mates / sponsors interested in doing this?
